If you visit the church in Chapter 15 on the first turn and complete the chapter, the priest will thank you, but nothing will actually be resolved. This should lead to the village being destroyed afterward.
With this change, you will no longer be able to complete the chapter by visiting the church until you can claim to have protected the village.
Also, I made the following changes related to the above:
- If Leif visits the church before defeating Zail, he will now be able to obtain the items that were previously given upon completing the chapter in advance (they are only given on the first visit).
- If Leif visits the church on the first turn, Sleuf will no longer join in Chapter 16A.
- Now Amalda will not retreat even if Febail and Patty talk if Febail is not on the map on the 1st turn.
- The another condition "after defeating Zail" has been added to Amalda's retreat requirements. (She will not retreat if a house or church has been destroyed.)
In the earlier update, you could get Bragi Sword by visiting the church on the 1st turn, and this was the only way to obtain Bragi Sword early on in Route B. However, you had to make so many sacrifices to do this that almost no one chose to, perhaps. Now that the event is more flexible, using the Bragi Sword on Route B is a more realistic option.
The dialogue branches into the following 9 patterns:
- When Leif visits on the 1st turn without defeating Zail (first time / obtain Bragi Sword and Warp)
- When Leif visits on the 2nd or later turn without defeating Zail (first time / obtain Warp)
- When the other unit visits without defeating Zail (first time)
- When Leif visits after the other unit has visited without defeating Zail (first time / obtain item) *If it is the 1st turn, you will obtain Bragi Sword and Warp, and from the 2nd turn onwards you will obtain Warp.
- When someone visits without defeating Zail (from the 2nd time onwards)
- When Leif visits without defeating Zail, and then visits again after defeating Zail (he will only receive item(s) the 1st time, not the 2nd time)
- When Leif visits on the 1st turn after defeating Zail (obtain Bragi Sword and Warp)
- When Leif visits on the 2nd or later turn after defeating Zail (same as in the original)
- When the other unit visits after defeating Zail (same as in the original)
Arrival points now have a new benefit
Cannot complete without defeating Zail now? No, by using the arrival points on either side, you can complete the chapter without Zail. Previously, visiting the church and completing the chapter allowed you to choose your destination and even receive an item, so no one would use the arrival points. But they now have some practical value as options. Those who want to complete the chapter quickly should consider using the arrival points.
