The new command "Porter", the new class "Transporter", and the new item "Porter Proof" have been added. The "Porter" command allows you to move items in and out of the depository at anywhere.
Specifications of Porter Proof
- Using Porter Proof will promote the unit to Transporter, regardless of what their current class is.
- Porter Proof can be used by all expect the Lord and units with the "Steal" skill.
- Once a unit has changed class to Transporter, it cannot be changed back to their original class.
For units that have had little use for them, you can let them spend the rest of their lives as a convoy; the benchwarmers of FE5 are sometimes referred to as "second depository" or "second convoy," and it would be a good idea to have them really be a convoy.
Porter Proof is available at the private house in Chapter 9.
Specifications of Transporter
The basic specifications follow those of Merlinus in FE6, with the following features:
- The transporter themself and adjacent units can use the "Porter" command.
- The transporter may only level up if it is attacked by the enemy and get a few exp.
- The transporter cannot equip weapons.
The differences from Merlinus are as follows:
- The transporter can also trade items.
- The transporter can carry other units.
- If the transporter's HP reaches 0, it will die in classic mode.
- Transporter's Movement costs are treated as advanced cavalry, so mobility is reduced on indoor maps.
- Using the "Porter" command to move items in and out will end the action.
- If the transporter is petrified, the "Porter" command cannot be used even if it is adjacent to the transporter.
- The "Porter" command cannot be used when the transporter's affiliation is other than Leif's army.
- The "Porter" command cannot be used when the unit being operated and the transporter belong to different armies, even if they are adjacent to each other.
It is somewhat inconvenient that the action ends when items are put in and out using the "Porter" command, but since the "Supply" command did so, the "Porter" command does so as a result of diverting that process. Instead, the transporter themself can also be put in and out, so that if the item that the transporter pulled out is exchanged, the item that was in the depository can be used in one turn.
